Castle 2 - De Haar - Netherlands

We made it to our second castle today - De Haar near Utrecht. De Haar is the largest castle in the Netherlands and it was definitely impressive! As with Muirslot the furnishings and decorations were all there so we got to see what life was like living in the castle. There was also a giant park and a hedge maze where we definitely took every possible wrong turn.

Castle #2 down and many more to go. Great pictures and experiences for all of you. Looks like good weather too. So glad you guys are doing this.
It is one thing to see a picture and certainly another to see it up close. Hard to fathom the amount of work that goes into each and every small detail. All of those statues behind you, all unique, all carved by hand (I assume). And we complain about mowing the lawn...hehehe.
